WIDOW/WIDOWERS Exemption Requirments


	CL17D – WIDOW/WIDOWERS – ELDERLY (OVER 70 - OVER INCOME) Exemption amount is $175.00 yearly REQUIREMENTS: There is not an age requirement for Widow/Widowers. Must be a widow/widower by July 1^st of year applying and cannot have assets exceeding $40,000, (excluding home). For elderly that are over income for other exemptions, they may apply for the 17D. They have to be 70 by July 1^st of the year they are applying and they also must not have assets exceeding $40,000. This includes, checking accounts, savings accounts, IRA’s, CD, etc.
