On The Tracks to Giving Back 2016
This year, our mission is to give back to our wonderful community! We are fortunate to have so many wonderful organizations, departments and individuals that support the elders of wilmington and who help make Wilmington the great town that it is.
How do you participate?
Join us in giving back this year! Stop by the Senior Center and get your boarding pass - your ticket to giving back! Once you sign the ticket, you will then receive a punch card. The Buzzell Express Card represents every event we will be doing this year. Stay tuned for each newsletter for more details. Once you complete this card in December, you will then be entered for some great prizes!

Alzheimer's Awareness Month
This September, you can help fight the stigma surrounding Alzheimer’s disease, educate others and begin to change the way we look at Alzheimer’s. Help us create a conversation across the globe. Speak up about the facts. Alzheimer’s is NOT normal aging or “a little memory loss”, it is a progressive and fatal disease.
On Sunday, September 27, 2015, the Department of Elderly Services is taking action by joining one of the many World Alzheimer’s Day events- the 2015 Walk to End Alzheimer’s. If you would like to help our team and donate, please contact the Senior Center.
“Forget-Me-Not” are available at the front desk in order to help finish what Audrey Reed started! Flowers will be $1.00 and any other donations will be accepted. The flowers can be dedicated to a loved one who has been or is effected by Alzheimer’s. These flowers will be presented in the Buzzell Senior Center lobby.
We are proud to share Audrey Reed's performance of the "Ham I AM Part II" This performance raised over $500 dollars for the Alzheimer's Association! Thank you Audrey for another amazing show!
