Medical Loan Program


	Another one of our continuing specialty programs is the “Medical Equipment Lending Program,” a service that has increased in demand. Elders and their families can borrow equipment in order to stay home safely and assist in deferring the cost of such equipment. We offer wheelchairs, walkers, canes, bath chairs, benches and commodes. During the year 2009, we provided approximately 10 – 12 medical pieces of equipment monthly. We continue to receive calls from elders and their family as well as from the local Visiting Nurses’ Association whom assist Wilmington residents. We continue to be fortunate to offer electric wheelchairs, scooters and electric recliners as part of this lending program.
