The Wilmington Police Department, together with the American Red Cross and the Dana Farber Cancer Institute, will host a blood drive and bone marrow screening on Saturday, May 21, 2011 from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Wilmington High School. This important event is being held on behalf of Wilmington Police Officer Shawn Lee who is currently being treated for Acute Myeloid Leukemia. Officer Lee, wife Lisa and family are residents of the Town of Wilmington. We encourage fellow residents to support this effort by donating blood and/or participating in the bone marrow screening.
